Two Perspectives. One Belief.

We come to place from different disciplines, but share a fundamental belief: the environments we create shape the lives people lead.

Together, we bring strategy, design, experience, culture, and community into the same conversation—imagining places not simply for what they are, but for what they can make possible for the people and communities around them.

Chris Weigand

Co-Founder & Managing Partner | Development, Design & Experience

Chris Weigand brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of strategy, design, customer experience, and commercialization to Blue Marble's work creating places.

Throughout his career, Chris has helped some of the world's leading brands and retailers turn insight into strategy—and strategy into experiences that work in the real world. His work has spanned retail, consumer products, environmental design, shopper experience, brand expression, innovation, and creative operations, including large-scale programs across more than 30,000 locations.

Chris approaches complex challenges through a human-centered lens, asking how people experience a place, product, or brand—and how thoughtful design can create both meaningful experiences and measurable business value. His strength lies in bridging the space between vision and execution: translating big ideas into clear strategies, compelling experiences, and practical systems that can actually work.

As a designer and strategist, Chris is particularly interested in the relationship between people, environments, and experience. He believes great design is not simply about how something looks. It is about how it works, how it feels, what it makes possible, and whether people want to come back.

At Blue Marble, Chris brings that perspective into development—thinking beyond the building itself to consider the complete experience of a place, from the first impression to the smallest detail, and from the individual experience to the broader community.

His career has also included entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and public service, including serving as an elected councilman and planning commission member with a focus on economic development and infrastructure planning.

He believes the best places are designed with intention—and experienced with delight.

Kathy Wilcox

Co-Founder & Managing Partner | Culture, Community & Strategy

Kathy Wilcox brings a career-long focus on people, organizations, culture, and community to Blue Marble's work creating places.

Her work has centered on helping organizations understand where they are, imagine what is possible, and bring people together around a shared direction. She brings particular strength in strategy, organizational development, facilitation, community engagement, and turning complex ideas into meaningful action.

Kathy is deeply interested in the relationship between people and place—and in the ways our physical environments influence how we connect, experience our communities, and live our lives. She believes the places that surround us can either create barriers to connection or create the conditions for people and communities to thrive.

At Blue Marble, Kathy brings that perspective into the physical world, working at the intersection of strategy, culture, community, and place to create environments that are not only economically viable, but meaningful to the people who experience them.

She is particularly drawn to overlooked places with untapped potential—and to the possibility of creating spaces that give communities new reasons to gather, connect, discover, and belong.

She believes great places don't simply occupy space. They change what is possible within it.
